Provide political analysis’s of legislative viability and political momentum.
Determine policymaker outreach goals based on the constituency of client, as well as the alignment of legislative agendas and committee jurisdiction of legislators. Collaborate with clients to refine purpose and issue prioritization of advocacy efforts.
Material Drafting
Provide clients with discussion outline for each meeting with legislative offices, one-page educational document providing issue synopsis and requested goals for the legislator, and memorandum about the legislative priorities and political tendencies of each legislator.
Day-Of Staffing
Coordinate availability with clients to schedule lobbying meetings with targeted offices, providing staffers with a brief background of the goal of the conversation. Brief clients ahead of each meeting about each office’s legislative priorities and political tendencies. Open each meeting by leading introductions of group members and the issue. Take notes for client during each meeting to document discussion points and action items. Provide constructive feedback after each meeting to prepare for the following.
